Career guidance services provide a wide range of interventions with the objective of supporting individuals, of any age, in the acquisition of career management skills, enabling them to make autonomous decisions regarding their educational, training and professional paths.
Both the public and private sectors offer career guidance services, in schools, in higher education institutions, training institutions, the public employment service, companies, and in the community sector.
Both School Groupings and Non-grouped Schools provide guidance interventions according to each student's age level and needs. Students are encouraged to search for and manage information on the educational and training system and professional activities. Students are also supported in the decision-making process and in preparing their transitions between the various teaching cycles and when entering the job market.
